This dignity and safeguarding training aims to develop your employee’s understanding of the importance of dignity and safeguarding within an adult health and social care setting. Unit 1: Understand safeguarding in adult health and social care
In this unit, your employee will gain an understanding of how to recognise potential and actual abuse and harm, how to respond if abuse or harm is suspected or alleged, and ways to reduce the likelihood of abuse or harm.
Unit 2: Principles of dignity in adult health and social care practice
This unit will allow your employee to develop their knowledge of how to apply the principles of dignity in adult health and social care, as well as how person-centred approaches contribute to dignity and the importance of professional relationship for dignity and service provision.
Unit 3: Understand duty of care in adult health and social care
Within this unit, your employee will be able to identify dilemmas and conflicts relating to duty of care, recognise and report unsafe practices, and understand the impact of their own actions on individuals and others.
Unit 4: Understand dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care
In this unit, your employee will gain an in-depth knowledge of the dilemmas that may be encountered as an adult health and social care worker and issues of public concern in adult health and social care.
