Cyber Technologist Skills Bootcamp

Overview

On this Cyber Technologist Skills Bootcamp, you’ll be able to implement a series of technical, procedural and physical controls to monitor, detect and respond to a wide range of cyber security threats.

In just 12 weeks, you’ll be trained in cyber risk and mitigation, maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of digital data. They will use their skills to feed into policy decisions of a cyber security awareness culture within the business.

The CST standard has 3 distinct options:

  • Cyber Security Engineer designs, develops and implements security solutions across a network
  • Cyber Risk Analyst assesses, analyses and mitigates cyber-related risk
  • Cyber Defender and Responder configures and monitors security systems and responds to incidents/security breaches

What are Skills Bootcamps?

Running over 12 weeks, Skills Bootcamps are designed to help you develop the digital and technical skills that are in demand in your local area. They can even help you fast-track an interview with a local employer and pave the way to securing a better job.

  • Skills Bootcamps are a recent initiative from the Government in response to the pandemic and have been created as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs. They are delivered by Firebrand Training, market-leaders in industry-focused technical training to professionals in the IT and digital sector for over two decades.
  • Led by an online instructor, Firebrand’s Skills Bootcamps offer an interactive virtual classroom experience, providing all the benefits of classroom study without the hassle and cost of travel. You’ll get full interaction with the learning professional, with online support throughout.
  • You will have structured e-Learning material to work through in your own time and one free exam and certification worth over £2500.
