What are Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to maximum 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
Skills Bootcamps have been developed by the Government in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job. They are a part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs strategies.
There is a task to raise awareness and drive uptake of these exciting new courses at a national level, so the greatest number of people can benefit, and so the public, employers and stakeholders can see momentum building around this kind of innovative reskilling model
Digital Transformation Skills Bootcamp has been designed for:
- Individuals who want to become Digital Leaders
- Existing Digital Leaders who need upskilling or refreshing their knowledge
- Technology managers and executives who seek to understand the technologies that drive digital transformation and how to implement them to drive digital transformation in their organisation
- Functional managers across industries looking to master different areas of transformation and implement a strategy within their function or organisation
- Owners of SME’s who need to understand on how some of the technologies can support with Business Improvements

Skills Bootcamp are 100% free for residents or those willing to look for work in the following areas:
- East of England (Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk)
- East Midlands (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire)
Who can apply and get 100% funding?
- Residents of East of England and East Midlands Unemployed within past 12 months, Furloughed, Self-employed, Employed and not supported by the employer
Skills Bootcamps are also 70% funded for employers looking to refer their existing employees:
- Employers and employees referred/supported by their employer working or living in East of England or East Midlands – the remaining 30% which is £699 + VAT must be contributed by the employer
If you’re from outside East of England and East Midlands:
- You can still sign up for the Bootcamp and self-fund it.
- The total price for the Bootcamp is £2299 +VAT if self-funded
In order to get the funding, you must be:
- 19+ years old
- You must either live and work in the East of England or live in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire region
- Have right to work in the UK
- Be able to commit to the 11 weeks Skills Bootcamp

Schedule
8 weeks, 1 day a week 10:00am – 4:00pm
Support
There will be support throughout the Bootcamp. You will have a number of Lab days which develop hand-on skills. You will be required to work within Groups during the Bootcamp.
Home study
There will be a number of topics you will need to review on a daily basis; a reading list will be provided. The homestudy time would be from 20 min to 1 hour a day.
